Criterion text
Any perfumes1 shall be produced in accordance with the International Fragarance Associations (IFRA2 )standards or equivalent.
- The following compounds shall not be added to the product:
Nitromusk compounds and polycyclic musk compounds
Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyklohexene Carboxaldehyde, HICC (CASnr 31906-04-4, 51414-25-6)
Atranol (CASnr 526-37-4)
Chloroatranol (CASnr 57074-21-2)
- The following compounds may be added to the product with a maximum of 0,01 weight%:
Fragrances classified as sensitizing with H317
Fragrances that shall be declared according to Regulation (EC) No 648/2004 on detergents

Verification
The supplier shall, upon request, be able to present any of for example the following:
- Valid license for any of for example the following labels:
Good Environmental Choice for chemical products, version 2018:1
Nordic Swan Ecolabel for:
Cleaning products, version 6
Hand dish washing detergents, version 6
Dishwasher detergents for professional use, version 3
Laundry detergents for professional use, version 3 or version 4
Care products for vehicles, version 6
Dish washer detergents and rinsing agents, version 7
Laundry detergents and stain removers, version 8
EU Ecolabel for:
Hard surface cleaning products, (EU) 2017/1217
Detergents for dishwashers, (EU) 2017/1216
Industrial and institutional automatic dishwasher detergents, (EU) 2017/1215
Hand dishwashing detergents, (EU) 2017/1214
Laundry detergents, (EU) 2017/1218
Industrial and institutional laundry detergents, (EU) 2017/1219
- FRA certificate and a certificate from the product manufacturer showing that fragrances classified with H317 and/or shall be declared according to the detergent regulation are not included in the product in concentrations above 0.01 weight percent. Safety data sheets and/or the perfume supplier's specification for all ingredient fragrances shall be available as a basis for this.
- The supplier’s self-declaration including technical documentation of compliance verified by an accredited verification body, accredited for the task in accordance with ISO/IEC 17029 or equivalent standard.

Labelling
If the requirement is verified with a label, check that there is a valid license for the product in question. This can be controlled here: Nordic Swan Ecolabel, Good Environmental Choice and EU Ecolabel.
IFRA-certificate and specification
Make sure the perfume has a certificate from IFRA. Also check the perfume specification to ensure that the specified fragrances are not included in the perfume.
Self-declaration verified by an accredtied verification body
If a verified self-declaration is used to prove that the requirement is fulfilled, request the supplier’s self-declaration, including documentation showing that the requirement is met. The self-declaration shall be verified by a verification body accredited for the task in accordance with ISO / IEC 17029 or equivalent standard.

The International Fragrance Association (IFRA), is the official body of the perfume industry, for more information, see www.ifraorg.org.
This requirement cannot be used in combination with 10586 "Unscented". The requirement can be used in combination with the requirement for sensitizing substances (10584), which also limits substances classified with H334.
There are currently a limited number of accredited verification bodies for ISO/IEC 17029 (Conformity assessment - General principles and requirements for validation and verification bodies) as it is a relatively new standard. This may change, especially if the demand for verifying compliance in this way increases. More information about the standard and accredited verification bodies can be found on Swedac's website.
