Life-cycle analyses show that the largest environmental impact from computers and monitors occur in the manufacturing and end of life phase. Therefore, the most important measure to reduce environmental impact from computers and monitors are to use the equipment during a longer period. This is also in line with the waste hierarchy in the Swedish Environmental Code and in line with circular economy.
