Any perfumes1 shall be added in accordance with the International Fragrance AssociationsIFRA2 standards or equivalent.
 Nitromusk compounds and polycyclic musk compounds shall not be added to the product.
The following compounds may be added to the product with a maximum of 0,01 weight percent:
	- fragrances classified as sensitizing with H317
- fragrances that are subject to declaration under the Regulation (EC) 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council on cosmetic products (Cosmetics regulation), in rinse-off products3.
The following compounds may be added to the product with a maximum of 0,001 weight percent:
	- Fragrances that are subject to declaration under the Cosmetics Regulation, in leave-on products4.
Exceptions
Toothpastes and oral hygiene products may contain flavourings classified with H317 that are approved for use in food according to Regulation (EC) 1334/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council on food additives. The exception does not cover flavourings classified in category 1A and only applies to the following extent:
	- Adult products: a maximum of six flavourings with a maximum concentration of 1000 ppm (1000 mg/kg) each.
- Children's toothpaste: a maximum of two flavourings with a maximum concentration of 1000 ppm (1000 mg/kg) each.
