Offered furniture, with wood-based panels containing formaldehyde-based additives, shall have measured emissions of formaldehyde not exceeding 65% of E1 according to the standard “Wood-based panels for use in construction – Properties, conformity evaluation and labelling” SS-EN 13986:2004+A1:2015 or equivalent standard.

Furniture, with wood-based boards containing formaldehyde-based additives, shall meet the emission requirement to be classified as E1 according to the standard "Wood-based panels for use in construction – Characteristics, conformity evaluation and labelling" SS-EN 13986:2004+A1:2015 or equivalent standard.

The supplier shall be able to prove, on request, that the requirement has been fulfilled. [The contracting organisation] may request that the data be verified by an independent third party.
