Criterion text
Furniture delivered in accordance with the contract must meet the following requirements regarding the furniture’s durability, dimension requirements, safety and strength:
[The contracting organisation shall list the relevant standards here, see examples in the annex Examples of relevant EN standards].
The supplier shall, upon request, comply with all standards, or equivalent standards, on the basis of test reports from accredited testing institutes/laboratories or licences for labelling with equivalent requirements.
Verification
When requested, the supplier must be able to present for example one of the following:
- A statement from an accredited test institute/laboratory showing that the furniture meets the requirements of the standards specified in the requirement or equivalent standards.
- Labellings that meet the requirement, such as valid licences for
- Möbelfakta
- Nordic Swan Ecolabel, Furniture and furnishings
- EU Ecolabel for furniture (Ecolabel is only accepted as evidence supplemented by test reports from accredited testing institutes/laboratories demonstrating compliance with the standards).
Proposed follow-up
Labelling
If the requirement has been verified with labelling, check that there is a valid license for the product in question. This is checked on the respective website: Möbelfakta, Nordic Swan Ecolabel, EU Ecolabel.
Statement from the test institute/laboratory
If the requirement has been verified with analytical reports, carry out random checks on the analytical reports and also verify that the analyses were carried out by an accredited laboratory.
Information about the criterion
The contracting organisation shall refer to specific standards from the annex 'Examples of relevant EN standards', or other sources, relevant to the furniture to be procured. Please note that all types of furniture don’t have standards. If the supplier refers to other standards, the supplier must demonstrate that these are equivalent in terms of, for example, technical requirements for the furniture.
