Criterion information The purpose of this criterion is to reduce the number of printouts and the use of paper. Criterion text The equipment must have the following functions pre-installed and enabled, with the purpose to reduce the number of printouts.

Criterion information Using remanufactured toner cartridges reduces the environmental impact in comparison with manufacture of new toner cartridges. Criterion text Imaging equipment shall not, through its construction, software or other measures prevent the use of remanufactured/ reused toner cartridges. Remanufactured/reused original toner cartridges (OEM1) are defined as cleaned, refilled with dry toner and with any damaged or worn out parts replaced.

Criterion information This criterion limits the noise levels of imaging equipment. Criterion text The imaging equipment must meet the requirements regarding noise levels in operating mode, described in Blue Angel (the German Ecolabel), Office Equipment with Printing Function DE-UZ 205 (2017) or DE-UZ 219 (2021), section 3.51. The stated A-weighted sound power level, LWAd, must be tested according to ISO 7779. Criterion information Electronic appliances release organic substances in the indoor air, and free particles can also be released. This criterion limits these emissions to maintain a good indoor air quality. Criterion text The imaging equipment with original toner cartridge must meet the limit values, stated in the table. The test method described in Blue Angel, (the German Ecolabel), Office Equipment with Printing Function (Printers and Multifunction Devices) DE-UZ 219 (2021), section 3,3, is to be used.
